A deeply alarming report described a 24 page “teaching guide” aimed at primary school students that uses beloved children’s cartoon characters to push extremist political ideology.
When schools become vehicles for propaganda, every child is at risk, and Jewish families pay the price first.

This material reportedly glorifies Leila Khaled and depicts her in a keffiyeh. Khaled is associated with the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a listed terrorist organization.
Presenting a figure tied to terrorism as a role model for young children is indefensible. It is not education, it is ideological grooming.
Worse, the guide allegedly repackages slogans and messaging linked to incitement, then presents them as moral and heroic. The silence is deafening.
Governments speak about combating hate speech, yet enforcement feels selective when Jewish students are the ones being targeted. Jewish teachers and students report fear, intimidation, and humiliation, and families describe complaints being ignored or deflected.
There is no place for activist organizations like Teachers for Palestine in the school system. Teachers can pursue political views privately, but classrooms must never be used to indoctrinate children.
If educators are using curriculum time to promote extremist ideology, they must be investigated and removed.
Premier Chris Minns and Premier Jacinta Allan, Education Ministers Prue Car and Ben Carroll, Opposition Leaders Kellie Sloane and Jess Wilson, and senior department leaders must act now.
Ban these materials, audit what is being taught, enforce discipline, and protect Jewish students with clear standards and consequences.
