“The hostages will come back — they’re all coming back on Monday,” Trump said.
Families of hostages currently held in Gaza spoke by phone with President Donald Trump during a meeting in Washington with U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, expressing gratitude for his leadership and efforts to secure their loved ones’ release.
“Mr. President, we believe in you, we know you’ve done so much for us… and we trust you will fulfill the mission until every hostage — all 48 of them — are home. Blessed be the peacemakers!” one relative said over speakerphone. Another added, “God bless you, Mr. President. God bless America.”
President Trump assured the families that progress was being made, declaring, “The hostages will come back — they’re all coming back on Monday.”
His statement was met with applause and visible relief from those gathered.
The meeting, organized by the Hostages and Missing Families Forum, emphasized the emotional toll of the ongoing hostage crisis and the growing hope among families that a resolution is near.
