CBC News is once again abusing its public platform to push a biased, anti-Israel narrative—and this time, it’s hidden behind a so-called “human interest” story.

In a recent CBC article, reporter Verity Stevenson described Gaza as an apocalyptic wasteland while turning a photo op of a man in a Santa suit into a political hit piece against Israel.

The article ignored crucial facts, amplified unverified anti-Israel claims, and painted Israel as the sole cause of suffering in Gaza.

Stevenson falsely stated that Israel limited aid to Gaza, ignoring official Israeli data that shows aid deliveries were nearly four times higher than she claimed.

She also referenced a UN food crisis warning without mentioning that the widely reported “famine” never occurred—nor did she call out the activists who have been pushing this false narrative for months.

This isn’t a one-off mistake. In 2024, Stevenson covered a violent anti-Israel rally in Montreal but conveniently skipped over the hate speech and assaults. Instead of holding extremists accountable, she gave them a sympathetic spotlight.

Enough is enough. Canadians deserve fact-based reporting, not activist-driven distortions.

CBC is publicly funded—this means every taxpayer is paying for a biased agenda that fuels misinformation and antisemitism.
