“Now we are focusing on completing the two remaining missions: The disarming of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza from weapons and tunnels,” Netanyahu said.

Following the return of Ran Gvili—the final hostage to be recovered from the Gaza Strip—the prime minister confirmed that the government has fulfilled the first of its three primary war objectives.
With the mission to bring the hostages home now complete, Netanyahu shifted the focus toward the essential requirements for a secure future: the total disarmament of Hamas and the complete removal of all weapons and tunnels from Gaza.
The Prime Minister stated that Israel will not compromise on its safety requirements. He made it clear that the focus must remain on the two outstanding missions to ensure that Gaza can no longer serve as a base for attacks against Israeli citizens.
“Yesterday, we fully completed the sacred mission of returning all of our hostages,” Netanyahu said. “Now we are focusing on completing the two remaining missions: the disarming of Hamas and the demilitarization of Gaza from weapons and tunnels.”
Netanyahu addressed the details of President Trump’s peace plan, specifically regarding the control of Gaza. He pushed back against any suggestions that reconstruction could occur while Hamas still holds arms or that foreign forces from Turkey or Qatar would be granted a presence in the territory.
Furthermore, he maintained his long-standing position against the creation of a Palestinian state, asserting that Israel must retain security control over the entire region to prevent future threats.
“I hear even now the statements that we will allow the reconstruction of Gaza before demilitarization,” Netanyahu said. “That will not happen. I hear that we will bring Turkish soldiers and Qatari soldiers into Gaza. That will also not happen. I hear that I will allow the establishment of a Palestinian state in Gaza. That has not happened, and it will not happen.”
In coordination with the Trump administration, the Prime Minister emphasized that Gaza’s demilitarization is a fixed requirement for peace. He noted that while there are different ways to achieve this goal, the final result of a disarmed Gaza remains certain. By maintaining security authority from the Jordan River to the sea, Israel ensures it has the necessary oversight to protect its people.
“As I agreed with President Trump – you have heard this many times, both from him and from me – there are only two options: It will be done either the easy way or the hard way. But in any case, it will happen!”
“I think everyone knows that the one who stopped the establishment of a Palestinian state is me, together with my colleagues in the governments I have headed. Today and tomorrow, we will not allow it. Israel will maintain security control over the entire area, from the Jordan to the sea, and that is also true regarding the Gaza Strip.”
