Tensions continue to rise along Israel’s northern border as the IDF intensifies efforts to block Hezbollah from reestablishing terror infrastructure in southern Lebanon.

In a pair of precision strikes carried out less than an hour apart on Monday, Israeli forces killed senior Hezbollah terrorists responsible for recent attacks and conducting surveillance near the border.

The first strike, led by the Northern Command and the Israeli Air Force, targeted Mohammad Ali Hadid, a commander in Hezbollah’s elite Radwan Force in the Nabatieh area. According to the IDF, Hadid had orchestrated several planned attacks on Israeli territory and was recently working to rebuild the group’s military networks.

A short time later, another IDF strike hit the Aita al-Shaab region, killing a Hezbollah terrorist who had been conducting reconnaissance on Israeli positions.

The army described the terrorists’ activities as “a clear violation” of security agreements between Israel and Lebanon, adding that Israel “will continue to enforce the arrangements and act to remove any threat to the State of Israel.”

A day earlier, Defense Minister Israel Katz issued a stark warning to Hezbollah and the Lebanese government: “Hezbollah is playing with fire, and the president of Lebanon is dragging his feet. The Lebanese government’s commitment to disarm Hezbollah and remove it from southern Lebanon must be fulfilled. Maximum enforcement will continue and deepen — we will not allow a threat to the residents of the north.”

Meanwhile, a senior Israeli official told Al Arabiya that intelligence assessments indicate Hezbollah has begun rebuilding its arsenal, including smuggling hundreds of short-range rockets from Syria. “We have conveyed a message that we may strike the Dahiyeh again if Hezbollah is not disarmed,” the official said, referring to the group’s Beirut stronghold.

The IDF said it remains committed to maintaining security and stability along the northern front while holding Hezbollah accountable for its continued violations of ceasefire conditions.
