“We have enough interceptors for all of our defense systems,” Israeli officials said.

Israel pushed back Sunday against a report claiming its air defense interceptor stockpiles are running dangerously low amid the ongoing conflict with Iran.
The report, first published by Semafor, cited U.S. officials who said Israel had informed Washington that it is running critically low on ballistic missile interceptors as the war continues.
According to one U.S. official quoted in the report, American officials have been aware of the issue for months.
“It’s something we expected and anticipated,” the official said.
Another U.S. official told Semafor that while Israel may be facing shortages, the United States itself has sufficient interceptor supplies to protect its bases, personnel, and interests in the region.
“We have all that we need to protect our bases and our personnel in the region and our interests,” the official said, adding that Israel is “coming up with solutions to address” the situation.
However, Israeli security officials strongly rejected the claims, saying the report does not reflect the reality of Israel’s air defense readiness.
Speaking to Israel’s Channel 14 News overnight, defense sources said the reports have “no basis.”
“We have enough interceptors for all of our defense systems, even for a prolonged period of time,” the officials said.
They added that Israel’s air defense network remains fully prepared for any scenario and that interceptor stockpiles are sufficient to meet the country’s security needs.
The comments come as Israel’s multilayered air defense systems, including Arrow, David’s Sling, and Iron Dome, continue intercepting missiles and drones launched by Iran and its regional proxies during the ongoing conflict.
