The IDF carried out airstrikes in Lebanon on Friday morning, targeting key Hezbollah terror infrastructure, including a major training and operational compound used by the group’s elite Radwan Force, the military said.
According to the IDF, the strikes hit a facility used to train terrorists, conduct weapons drills, and prepare terror attacks against Israeli forces and civilians. The site functioned as a central hub for operational planning and live-fire training.
Israeli forces also struck multiple Hezbollah weapons depots and additional military buildings used by the terror group to advance attacks against Israel.
The IDF said Hezbollah’s continued military activity, including the operation of training camps and the stockpiling of weapons, constitutes a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon and poses a direct threat to Israel’s security.
The strikes were carried out days before a deadline set by the United States for Hezbollah to begin dismantling its military capabilities.
The IDF said the Radwan Force training compound, weapons depots, and military structures were targeted as part of ongoing efforts to degrade Hezbollah’s operational capacity.
