As the festive holiday of Purim approaches, we at United with Israel would like to wish all our followers a joyous holiday and a happy Purim.
Purim commemorates the miraculous turn of events that led to the salvation of the Jewish nation when it faced a threat of annihilation in the ancient Persian Empire.
Fueled by the lies and sinister plots of the evil viceroy Haman, a decree was issued to destroy the Jewish people, as recorded in the Book of Esther.
Through repentance and prayer, the Jewish people merited God’s salvation, and despair was transformed into deliverance as they were saved from destruction.
Today, approximately 2,500 years later, the Jewish people once again face threats of annihilation, this time from the modern Persian empire, the Iranian regime, which is actively launching hundreds of missiles at Israel as the region is engulfed in a full-scale war.
Israeli civilians are once again forced into shelters while enemies openly call for the Jewish state’s destruction.
At the same time, antisemitism surges worldwide, fueled by the same familiar lies and distortions.
History reminds us that hatred repeats itself, even when the names and faces change.
The message of Purim is not only about survival, but about faith, unity, and standing together in the face of those who seek our harm.
Now more than ever, it is vital that we remain truly united with Israel, strengthening one another, speaking truth, and standing firm against those who threaten the Jewish people and the Jewish state.
May we once again merit God’s salvation, witness the downfall of those who seek our destruction, and see brighter days ahead for Israel and the Jewish people everywhere.
