Authorities have reported sustained interest in aliyah from Western countries, particularly Europe and North America, in recent years.

A special flight carrying about 50 Jewish immigrants from France and Britain arrived at Ben-Gurion Airport during the ongoing war, as Israeli authorities continue to support aliyah despite the security situation, VINnews reported.
The flight was arranged in coordination with the Jewish Agency and relevant government ministries as part of ongoing efforts to enable immigration under wartime conditions. Officials said such initiatives are continuing even as Israel conducts military operations related to the conflict.

They have pointed to rising antisemitism abroad and a growing sense of connection to Israel during periods of conflict as contributing factors.
The Jewish Agency and the Aliyah Ministry said thousands of new immigrants have arrived since the conflict escalated, with immigration figures showing fluctuations but continued demand.
Officials view these arrivals as supporting Israel’s long-term growth and national cohesion.
“This highlights the symbolic resilience: Jews from the Diaspora choosing to make Israel their home even in wartime, reinforcing national morale and demographic strength,” Almog said in a statement.
No further details were immediately available regarding the backgrounds or individual motivations of those on the flight.
Officials indicated that similar flights and coordinated efforts are expected to continue as programs remain in place to facilitate immigration during the war.
