In a rare unanimous statement issued during Jewish American Heritage Month, Republican governors across the United States publicly condemned rising antisemitism and reaffirmed their support for the Jewish community and for Israel.
The statement comes as antisemitic incidents continue to rise on college campuses, in public spaces, on online platforms, and even in elected institutions.
Now, supporters are calling on governors nationwide not only to speak out but also to formally adopt the IHRA definition of antisemitism, the internationally recognized standard used to identify and confront modern antisemitism, including when it hides behind anti-Zionist rhetoric.
