Aslim commanded infiltrations by Hamas terrorists into Israeli territory during the October 7 attack.

The IDF and Shin Bet announced Friday that they had eliminated a senior Hamas commander in northern Gaza who played a key role in the October 7 massacre and was allegedly involved in planning additional attacks against Israeli forces.
According to the military, Israeli forces carried out a precision strike two days ago that killed Imad Hassan Hussein Aslim, the deputy commander of Hamas’ Gaza City Brigade and commander of the Zeitoun Battalion in the organization’s military wing.
The IDF said Aslim commanded infiltrations by Hamas terrorists into Israeli territory during the October 7 attack and, in recent years, had advanced dozens of terror plots against Israeli forces operating in Gaza. The military described him as an immediate threat.
A second Hamas commander was also present at the site that was struck, though Israeli officials said the results of that elimination were still under review.
The announcement came a day after the IDF revealed the elimination of Ihab Khrizam, whom the military described as the head of a major Hamas financial transfer network.
According to the IDF, Khrizam managed the transfer of millions of dollars to Hamas’ military wing and continued violating the ceasefire agreement in recent weeks. Israeli officials said his activities enabled the advancement of imminent terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli civilians.
The military said Mohammed al-Habash, a senior terrorist in Hamas’ weapons production headquarters, was also killed in the strike. According to the IDF, al-Habash was involved in manufacturing weapons for the terrorist organization throughout the war.
Israeli officials said the operations were part of ongoing efforts to disrupt Hamas’ operational, financial, and military infrastructure and prevent future attacks against Israeli forces and civilians.
The IDF said Southern Command forces remain deployed in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue acting to eliminate immediate threats in the Gaza Strip.
