“We will continue to act to remove any immediate threat,” the IDF said in an official statement.

In the latest of ongoing ceasefire violations by Hamas, a group of armed terrorists was spotted approaching IDF forces in the Rafah area on Wednesday.
Troops from the Golani Brigade, operating in the area to dismantle underground terror tunnels, swiftly engaged and neutralized the threat.
The incident began when four Hamas terrorists attempted to attack Israeli soldiers as they carried out demolition work on tunnels used for smuggling weapons and facilitating attacks on Israeli territory.
Acting on real-time intelligence and in coordination with the Israeli Air Force, the Golani troops eliminated three of the terrorists. The IDF confirmed that no soldiers were injured during the exchange.
“Our troops under Southern Command are deployed in the area in accordance with the agreement and will continue to act to remove any immediate threat,” the IDF said in an official statement.
The incident is one of numerous violations by Hamas since the ceasefire went into effect over a month ago.
Despite the agreement, Hamas has repeatedly opened fire on Israeli forces, attempted to cross the yellow line separating areas of control, and continues to hold the bodies of four Israeli hostages in clear breach of the ceasefire terms and basic humanitarian principles.
Several of these attacks have even resulted in IDF casualties, underscoring the ongoing threat facing troops stationed in the area.
The IDF remains on alert across southern Gaza, prepared to respond swiftly to any attempt to endanger Israeli troops or civilians.
