President Donald Trump said the U.S. is working to stabilize the situation in Lebanon after extending the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.
Speaking from the Oval Office, Trump said Israel maintains the right to protect itself against attacks during the ceasefire and expressed hope that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun will meet in Washington in the near future.
