The inclusion of Group 11 and NFX in TIME’s first venture capital industry ranking highlights Israel’s continuing influence in shaping global technology and investment trends.

Two Israeli venture capital firms have been recognized by TIME magazine as among the 350 most influential players in the U.S. venture capital industry in 2025.
Group 11 and NFX were chosen from more than 10,000 firms reviewed for the ranking, produced by TIME in partnership with global data firm Statista.
The inaugural list evaluated firms based on fundraising strength, investment activity and exit performance.
The selection of two Israel-linked funds highlights the country’s role as a source of top-tier talent and innovation within the global tech investment ecosystem.
Group 11, founded in 2012 by Israeli-American investor Dovi Frances, has invested more than $700 million and manages assets exceeding $1.4 billion.
Its portfolio includes seven unicorns and a strong representation of Israeli-founded companies such as Navan (formerly TripActions), Next Insurance—acquired by Munich Re for $2.6 billion in 2024—Dream Security, Sunbit, Masterschool and Tipalti.
The firm has earned repeated recognition, including Preqin’s 2024 ranking as the top U.S. venture capital manager.
“This is a great honor for the fund and for the Israeli high-tech industry,” Frances said. He credited the fund’s success to bold investments in Israeli entrepreneurs and a hands-on approach with portfolio companies, adding that the recognition reflects both consistent results for investors and the firm’s unique support model.
NFX, co-founded by Gigi Levy-Weiss, invests primarily in seed and pre-seed companies across sectors including gaming, bio, generative AI, marketplaces, proptech, and fintech.
Its model emphasizes “network effects,” offering founders access to an extensive support system through its private Guild network.
