Two IDF soldiers from the 401st “Iron Tracks” Armored Brigade were moderately injured earlier today (Wednesday) during operational activity in Southern Lebanon.

The incident occurred when an anti-tank missile was fired toward Israeli forces operating in the area. The wounded soldiers were evacuated to a hospital for medical treatment, and their families have been notified.

In recent days, the IDF has transitioned to a “forward defense” posture, deploying troops deeper into Lebanese territory to create an additional layer of security.

The military stated that this move is designed to proactively remove immediate threats and prevent Hezbollah infiltration attempts into northern Israel.

“IDF forces will continue to operate with a strong forward defense and are prepared for any changes in the regional situation,” the military spokesperson added.

The IDF emphasized that Hezbollah chose to join the current campaign as a proxy for the Iranian regime. Military officials warned that the organization would bear the full responsibility and consequences for its decision to attack Israeli territory.

This ground activity is taking place in parallel with Operation Lion’s Roar, the joint U.S.-Israeli campaign targeting Iranian strategic assets across the Middle East.
