Nvidia’s primary interest in AI21 appears to be its workforce of roughly 200 employees, most of whom hold advanced academic degrees and 'possess rare expertise in artificial intelligence development.'
Already one of Israel’s largest employers with more than 5,000 Israelis on its payroll, the tech giant is expanding its operations and aiming to build a new northern hub that could pump billions into the economy.
Nvidia now employs more than 5,000 workers in Israel, nearly 15 percent of its total 36,000 global workforce, with 250 positions in the country currently open.
This move follows Nvidia’s recent purchase of another Israeli AI startup, Deci AI, which has also been integrated into the expanded development center.
