Croatian Minister of Foreign Affairs Gordan Grlić-Radman and Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi signed the MOU on Monday in a virtual ceremony.

'The circle of those who recognize Israel is growing,' said Israeli Foreign Minister Gabi Ashkenazi.

On social media as well, Emirati citizens wished Israelis a happy new year.

'The departure of a relief mission to the US and Israel’s rapid mobilization is representative of the close friendship between our nations,' said Gabi Ashkenazi.

These new partnerships are just another example of the enhanced cooperation between the Jewish state and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Gabi Ashkenazi hailed the unprecedented opportunity for Israel to advance its security interests and strengthen ties with regional allies Egypt and Jordan.
