A dozen F-22 Raptor fighter jets from the United States have landed at a base in southern Israel and are believed to be intended for use in any war against Iran.

Israel had objected to the sale, saying it could undermine Israel’s QME, but eventually approved it after receiving assurances from the Trump administration.

With sale of the F-35 to the UAE, the Trump Administration considers compensating Israel with the F-22.
