United Hatzalah reported that a Syrian child in serious condition was evacuated to Rambam Hospital after falling from a great height.
Emergency medical personnel treated the 5-year-old at the scene before transporting him to the hospital. The child sustained head trauma and injuries, the ambulance group said.
United Hatzalah transported the child in an ambulance across the border, immediately administered emergency first aid, and transported him to Rambam Hospital.
The child came from the Syrian village of Hader.
United Hatzalah, which provides medical care to all people regardless of their creed or nationality, said, “Our teams immediately initiated emergency medical treatment upon his arrival. Following stabilization efforts at the scene, the child was airlifted by an IDF medical evacuation helicopter to Rambam Health Care Campus for further treatment.”
Rambam often treats victims from high-conflict zones, recently caring for a Druze mother and her children who were injured in the Syrian attack on the Druze community in Sweida last spring. Rambam also treats people with life-threatening conditions who cannot obtain proper care where they live. In June, the hospital treated a 12-year-old Syrian girl with a life-threatening heart problem.
