Israeli NGO Shurat HaDin has urged Canadian authorities and the payment company Stripe to act against a website it says exposes Jewish institutions to potential antisemitic attacks, Ynet reported.
In letters sent this week to Ontario law enforcement officials and to Stripe Inc., the Israel-based legal group called for an investigation into a site run by an entity known as “The Maple.” The website features a directory titled “GTA to IDF,” listing Jewish schools, synagogues, and children’s camps while claiming they are “associated” with the Israel Defense Forces.
Shurat HaDin wrote to Toronto Police Chief Myron Demkiw, Ontario Provincial Police Commissioner Thomas Carrique, and Ontario Attorney General Doug Downey, asking them to examine whether the site violates Canadian criminal law.

“The website’s message is not academic,” the letter states. “It is the kind of narrative that has historically fueled intimidation, vandalism, threats and violence against Jewish schools and synagogues. When placed into a searchable directory format, it becomes functionally a target list.”
The group noted that some of the institutions named have previously been affected by antisemitic vandalism and harassment.
It said the site could amount to hate propaganda or criminal harassment and called it a “concrete risk multiplier.”
In a separate letter to Stripe, Shurat HaDin said the website uses the company’s payment services and asked that they be suspended.
The group argued that the project conflicts with Stripe’s policy against facilitating harm based on religion.
Shurat HaDin President Nitsana Darshan-Leitner said publishing such lists echoes historical patterns of antisemitic persecution and warned of the potential consequences.
