Israel’s delegation closed the competition with several medals, including a gold medal in the group five balls routine and two bronze medals earned by the country’s junior teams.

The national group squad also captured silver in the Cross Battle stage after advancing through the early rounds of the competition.

The Israeli group team opened the Cross Battle event with a victory against Ukraine in the five balls routine, receiving a score of 27.800.

In the following stage, Israel was defeated by Bulgaria in the mixed routine by three-tenths of a point, placing the team second overall in the event.

Israel’s coaching staff for the competition included Ayelet Zussman, Natalia Stepanova and Ella Samofalov.

Alona Koshevatskiy served as assistant coach, while Natasha Asmolov was team manager.

Munits, representing Maccabi Makefet Petah Tikva, produced one of the strongest individual performances of the tournament while competing against top gymnasts from Italy and Ukraine.

She finished first in the Cross Battle standings after recording four straight victories across different apparatus events.

Her run began with a 27.600 score against Maria Borisova in the ball event.

Munits later defeated Italy’s Tara Dragas in hoop with a score of 28.450 and overcame Italy’s Sofia Raffaeli in clubs with 29.400 before facing Ukraine’s Taisiia Onofriichuk in the final round.

Munits went on to defeat Onofriichuk to secure the Cross Battle title and added a second gold medal in the clubs final, giving Israel two individual gold medals at the Baku competition.
