Israeli fighter Ahavat Hashem Gordon delivered another commanding performance Sunday, this time in a new format, securing a win in his debut appearance in the Team Boxing League in Los Angeles.

Competing for LA Elite in a one-off bout, Gordon earned a judges’ decision victory, contributing a crucial point as his team faced off against Phoenix Fury. Despite entering an unfamiliar team-based format, the Israeli showed control throughout, gradually taking over the fight after an early push from his opponent.

But beyond the result, the night was defined by the atmosphere and Gordon’s message.

Thousands of Israeli fans filled the arena, waving flags and chanting “Am Yisrael Chai” and “El El Israel,” turning the venue into a sea of blue and white. The support was evident from the opening moments and appeared to energize Gordon as he settled into the fight.

Afterward, Gordon made clear what he believes fueled his performance.

“Give thanks to God, for He is good,” he said. “Without Him, I am nothing.”

He added his appreciation for the crowd, describing the experience as overwhelming.

“About 2,000 Israelis were there. The ground was shaking,” Gordon said. “Thank you to everyone. Am Yisrael Chai.”

The bout marked Gordon’s first appearance in the Team Boxing League, a newer format that pits city-based teams against each other in a series of rotating rounds, with fighters contributing points based on their performance. While the structure differs from traditional boxing, Gordon showed little difficulty adapting.

His opponent attempted to match his pace early on, but as the fight progressed, Gordon dictated the tempo, showcasing sharper technique and confidence en route to a clear decision victory.

The appearance serves as another step in Gordon’s broader ambitions as he continues to build momentum toward a transition into MMA and, ultimately, the UFC.

For Gordon, however, the message remains consistent both inside and outside the ring, combining faith, national pride, and performance into one.
