While no set number of troops has been determined yet, it is expected that several thousand will serve in Gaza.

Indonesia has signaled its readiness to send peacekeeping troops to Gaza as part of the International Stabilization Force (ISF), implementing Phase II of President Donald Trump’s Gaza peace plan, and will be the first country to do so. The troops will set out for Gaza once Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto meets with Trump at the Peace to Prosperity summit on Feb. 19.
Other countries that have tentatively offered to send peacekeeping troops include Azerbaijan, Italy, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Qatar, Egypt and Turkey. Indonesia so far remains the only country to offer a firm commitment, and its troops may be in Gaza within weeks, depending on the outcome of the summit.
No plans have been set on troops’ actions in response to Hamas engagement, and they are not expected to disarm Hamas. Their main duties will include patrolling the ceasefire line, as well as handling other possible border control issues, but Indonesia’s defense minister said that troops have been trained to take on other duties related to health care and construction as well, and that about 20,000 soldiers have participated in the training — although a far lower number is expected to deploy to Gaza.
While no set number of troops has been determined yet, it is expected that several thousand troops will serve in Gaza.
The Trump administration has given Hamas a deadline of 100 days to disarm, which will expire in May. If that deadline passes without the successful disarmament of Hamas, the possibility remains open that the ISF may leave the region, leaving Israel to resume ground operations to disarm the terrorist organization.
