Israeli Air Force fighter jets, guided by precise intelligence from the Intelligence Directorate, completed a large-scale strike against the aerial defense array of the Iranian regime in western Iran.

As part of the strikes, dozens of radars and surface-to-air missile launchers were destroyed.

Israelis across the country ran to their fortified rooms at 3 a.m. Friday morning as sirens wailed throughout. Many assumed it was another attack from the Houthi terror group in Yemen, but they soon realized it was in anticipation of an Iranian attack in response to the IDF’s successful operation in the wee hours of the morning, dubbed “Rising Lion,” to destroy the Islamic regime’s nuclear facilities.

The protocol until now was to remain in the safe rooms for 10 minutes after the siren alert. This time, the Home Front Command told citizens not to leave the rooms until further notice – which came about half an hour later, when it was deemed safe to leave.

Schools, gatherings, and non-essential services have been canceled until further notice.

Later in the morning, citizens were instructed to remain near their safe rooms, as another siren was expected at approximately 10:30 and they would likely need to remain there for an extended period. However, closer to the time, they were notified that there would be no siren.

The Home Front Command announced that there was no need to remain near the protected areas due to the assessment that there was “temporary control of the incident.”

During the night, Israel launched a large-scale operation, and among other things, destroyed the nuclear facility in Natanz and eliminated Iran’s top military leadership.

More than 200 Israeli Air Force fighter jets, guided by precise intelligence from the Intelligence Directorate, struck over 100 targets across Iran, including the hideouts of senior operatives in the Iranian military leadership,” according to the IDF.

The strikes eliminated the three most senior military commanders of the Iranian regime: Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Iranian regime; Hossein Salami, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps; and Gholam-Ali Rashid, Commander of Khatam al-Anbiya (Emergency Command).

The IDF also eliminated Amir Ali Hajizadeh, Commander of the Air Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), and Davoud Shaykhian, Commander of the Aerial Command of the IRGC’s Air Force.

“The IRGC’s Air Force is responsible for repeated attacks against Israeli civilians. Notably, Hajizadeh and his subordinates commanded Iran’s direct missile and UAV attacks against Israel in October 2024 and the direct missile strike in April 2024,” the IDF stated.

In addition, the senior officials who were eliminated led the attack on Saudi Arabia’s oil facilities in September 2019.

Hajizadeh publicly declared his commitment to Israel’s destruction at various events in recent years and played a central role in developing the Iranian regime’s plan for Israel’s destruction, the IDF said.

‘This is the Threat We Want to Degrade, Disrupt, and Eliminate’

According to the IDF spokesperson, “All our pilots, navigators and technicians returned home safely. All the Iranian missiles and UAVs were intercepted before they reached our border.”

Since Oct. 7, 2023, the IDF has systematically targeted the aerial defense systems of the Iranian regime and its proxies across the Middle East.

These strikes enhance the Israeli Air Force’s freedom of aerial operation.

The IDF continued its attacks in Iran throughout the day, and according to reports, the Air Force bombed the Tabriz International Airport in the northwest of the country.

“As you know, we are entering a campaign that is no less than existential, against an enemy that seeks to destroy us, that seeks to develop nuclear capabilities and is advancing rapidly in its nuclear development. It also seeks to develop conventional weapons in extremely large quantities,” said Major General Shlomi Binder, the head of the Intelligence Directorate, in a conversation Friday morning in Tel Aviv, from where the simultaneous strike was directed against the top command of the Iranian regime’s General Staff in the Israeli Air Force underground command center.

“This is the threat we want to degrade, disrupt, and eliminate,” he stated.
