The IDF described the incident as another blatant violation of the ceasefire.

The IDF said Thursday that it successfully intercepted a suspicious aerial target over southern Lebanon, as a series of Hezbollah actions continue to strain the already fragile ceasefire along the northern front.

According to the military, an interceptor was launched at the target in an area where Israeli forces are operating south of the forward defense line. The object did not cross into Israeli territory, and no sirens were activated in accordance with policy. The IDF later confirmed the interception was successful.

The incident followed a similar event on Wednesday, when a hostile drone launched by Hezbollah toward Israeli forces was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force before entering Israeli airspace. The military described that launch as a blatant violation of the ceasefire.

Earlier this week, Hezbollah also fired rockets toward IDF troops operating in the Rab al-Thalathin area of southern Lebanon. Israeli forces responded within minutes, striking the launcher used in the attack.

In a separate development, the IDF said it carried out an airstrike on a Hezbollah terrorist who was active at a launch site in the Sujoud area of southern Lebanon. The strike was conducted to prevent an immediate threat to northern Israeli communities.

Later Thursday, Hezbollah fired an anti-tank missile toward IDF forces operating south of the forward defense line. The missile landed near the troops, with no injuries reported. The IDF described the incident as another blatant violation of the ceasefire.

Alongside the aerial and rocket activity, Israeli forces have faced repeated attempts by terrorists to approach their positions. IDF troops identified and eliminated several terrorists who crossed the forward defense line and posed what the military described as an immediate threat.

On Thursday, the IDF also said troops from the 300th Brigade arrested a Hezbollah terrorist from the Radwan Force who had been planning an imminent attack. The suspect surrendered and was transferred for further interrogation.

Israeli forces have continued operations across southern Lebanon to locate weapons and dismantle Hezbollah infrastructure, uncovering rockets, explosives, drones, and other equipment intended for attacks on both troops and civilians.

The steady pattern of rocket fire, drone launches, anti-tank attacks, and ground activity points to continued Hezbollah attempts to test the ceasefire framework, raising growing uncertainty about how long it can hold.

Another round of talks aimed at stabilizing the situation is expected to take place later Thursday in Washington, though it remains unclear whether diplomatic efforts can keep pace with developments on the ground.
