Anti-Israel protesters marched through the Midwood neighborhood of Brooklyn on Monday during a demonstration outside a synagogue hosting an Israeli real estate event, with protesters waving Hezbollah flags and chanting support for “intifada.”

The protest targeted a synagogue connected to an Israeli real estate event and followed several similar demonstrations in New York linked to Israel-related gatherings, including a protest last week and two demonstrations outside synagogues late last year.

During Monday’s protest, demonstrators chanted “Globalize the intifada,” “Brick by brick, wall by wall, Israel will fall,” and “Death to the IDF.”

Protesters also carried an orange banner reading, “Israel is killing children,” and shouted “baby killers” toward Jewish counterprotesters.

The demonstration was led by the Pal-Awda activist group. Organizers affiliated with Within Our Lifetime and the Palestinian Youth Movement also attended the protest.

Pro-Israel counterprotesters gathered nearby, chanting slogans in support of the Israel Defense Forces and shouting “The people of Israel live” in Hebrew.

Police deployed significant security forces to the area, including drones, a helicopter and dozens of officers as clashes broke out between protesters and counterprotesters.

According to the material, one counterprotester pulled the mask off a demonstrator, while another protester wearing a keffiyeh allegedly grabbed a woman by the hair during a confrontation.

Police said at least three people were taken into custody. Authorities did not immediately release details regarding possible charges.

The Midwood protest was the latest in a series of demonstrations tied to Israeli real estate and immigration events held at synagogues in New York City.

According to the material, city officials have recently discussed expanding protective measures around synagogues and other religious institutions during large-scale demonstrations.

The protest took place in a heavily Jewish section of Brooklyn and drew both pro-Palestinian demonstrators and pro-Israel counterprotesters to the scene.
