Dr. Sameh, an Iranian Jewish lawmaker who frequently expresses anti-Zionist views, gave a stern warning to his brethren.

Following the US strikes against three nuclear facilities in Iran on Sunday, Dr. Homayoun Sameh, an Iranian Jewish lawmaker, warned Jews in the Islamic Republic to avoid celebrations, including private ones, Ynet reported.
Dr. Sameh, who frequently expresses anti-Zionist views, gave a stern warning to his brethren, despite the fact that Israel and the US have targeted only military and not civilian sites.
“In these sensitive times, refrain from holding any kind of celebration, even in private homes or kindergartens,” he wrote. “I strongly advise you to take this final warning very seriously.”
He specifically prohibited “bar mitzvahs, weddings, family gatherings and festive events,” whether at home or in educational institutions.
Although Dr. Sameh conceded that Israel did not intend to strike civilian centers, he nevertheless warned: “We must remember that any one of us, or our loved ones, could have been the target. Missiles and shrapnel do not recognize nationality, religion or belief. We are all Iranians, and we must stand together to defend our homeland against foreign aggression — with unity, empathy and determination.”
However, he did not mention Iran’s deliberate strikes on civilian centers, such as the attack on Soroka Hospital in Beersheba last week that wounded 80 people, or the missiles that destroyed apartments in the Tel Aviv area on Sunday, wounding 86.
He described a visit to a hospital with members of the Foreign Ministry and a Christian MP.
“We visited and offered our condolences to a group of civilians wounded in the latest attacks by the Zionist regime, who are currently receiving treatment in a Tehran hospital,” he said. “As a member of the Health Committee, I specifically reviewed the medical care process and the services being provided.”
“I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the hospital director and the dedicated medical team delivering specialized and professional care to these respected patients,” he continued. “In accordance with Health Ministry guidelines, all treatment for these individuals will be provided free of charge.”
