As Passover begins, we at United with Israel would like to share a message of faith, strength, and hope during these difficult times.
At the Passover Seder, we recite the words “In every generation, they rise up against us to destroy us, and the Holy One, blessed be He, saves us from their hands.”
These words have accompanied the Jewish people throughout history, reminding us that the story of our nation did not begin with us and will not end with us. From the slavery in Egypt to the redemption that followed, God delivered the Jewish people in miraculous ways when all seemed lost.
Today, as Israel faces a raging war against Iran and Hezbollah, with constant missile attacks and millions of Israelis repeatedly running to bomb shelters, these words feel more relevant than ever.
Once again, the Jewish people are forced to defend themselves against those who seek their annihilation. Once again, the Jewish people stand together, and once again we place our faith in God’s protection and salvation.
Passover is not only a story of the past. It is the story of the Jewish people in every generation. It is the story of survival, faith, redemption, and the promise that no matter how difficult the journey, redemption can come in ways we cannot imagine.
May we merit to see peace, protection for Israel and the Jewish people everywhere, the downfall of those who seek our destruction, and the ultimate redemption for our people and the world. And may we continue to stand strong and united, truly United with Israel, in every generation and in every challenge we face.
