Israel’s Elbit Systems reported strong financial performance in 2025, with higher revenue and profit alongside a record order backlog, as demand for its defense products rose during ongoing regional conflicts, Ynet reported.

The company said revenue reached $7.9 billion, marking a 16% increase, while net income rose to $534 million from $321 million in 2024.

Earnings per share stood at $11.39. Its backlog climbed to $28.1 billion after expanding by $5.5 billion over the year, with approximately 72% of orders coming from outside Israel and more than half expected to be fulfilled within two years.

Operating income totaled $671 million, and operating cash flow reached $778 million.

Elbit said it invested more than $500 million in research and development, with efforts focused on artificial intelligence and next-generation defense capabilities.

CEO Bezhalel Machlis described the results as “excellent,” citing increased demand worldwide and new contracts, including agreements with Israel’s Defense Ministry for high-power laser systems for aircraft and helicopters.

The company said fighting involving Hamas, Hezbollah and Iran has driven demand for its systems, while also creating operational difficulties such as supply chain disruptions, higher transportation costs and workforce shortages due to reserve duty call-ups.

In response, Elbit said it expanded infrastructure, increased inventories and took steps to maintain production levels.

Revenue growth was led by the land systems division, which recorded a 38% increase over the year, supported by ammunition and munitions sales in Israel and Europe. The company also reported continued demand for electronic warfare, intelligence and command-and-control systems.

In the fourth quarter, revenue rose 11% to $2.15 billion, while net income nearly doubled compared with the same period a year earlier.

Elbit said it secured contracts worth hundreds of millions of dollars for armored vehicle upgrades, electronic warfare systems and advanced munitions for international customers, and declared a dividend of $1 per share.
