“The Iranian terrorist regime did not abandon its program and continued to develop and advance the capabilities required for nuclear weapons,” the military said.

The Israeli Air Force has struck another key facility tied to Iran’s nuclear weapons development, the Israel Defense Forces said, as part of ongoing operations targeting the regime’s strategic capabilities.
According to the IDF, the strike targeted the Talkan site, which Israeli intelligence says was used by the Iranian regime to advance capabilities related to nuclear weapons development.
The attack was carried out with precise intelligence guidance from the IDF Intelligence Directorate as part of ongoing waves of Israeli strikes in the Iranian capital.
Military officials said the facility had been used in recent years to develop advanced explosives and conduct sensitive experiments connected to Project AMAD, the covert Iranian nuclear weapons program that operated during the early 2000s.
The Talkan site had previously been struck in October 2024 following Iran’s second ballistic missile attack against Israel that year.
According to the IDF, the Iranian regime did not abandon its efforts after the earlier strike and recently began rehabilitating the facility in an attempt to restore its capabilities.
“The Iranian terrorist regime did not abandon its program and continued to develop and advance the capabilities required for nuclear weapons,” the military said, adding that Israeli intelligence detected recent efforts by Tehran to rebuild the site.
The IDF said the latest strike represents another step in an ongoing effort to deny the regime the core components required to obtain nuclear weapons.
The facility is located inside the sprawling Parchin defense complex, one of Iran’s largest and most sensitive military-industrial sites.
The compound houses heavy defense industries involved in the production and storage of warheads, missile engines, and other components used in Iran’s missile and weapons systems.
The site also includes facilities for maintaining and refurbishing equipment used by Iran’s military industry.
According to the IDF, the latest strike on the Talkan site forms part of a broader series of actions intended to inflict deep and sustained damage on the foundations of the Iranian regime’s nuclear weapons program.
