At least six people were killed and 14 wounded in a terrorist shooting attack in Jerusalem on Monday morning.

The attack occurred at the Ramot Junction when two terrorists opened fire on passengers in a bus.

According to preliminary reports, the two terrorists boarded a bus from the Egged company’s line 62 and opened fire on passengers at point blank range with automatic weapons, shooting many of their victims in the head.

In addition, the terrorists shot at pedestrians in and around bus stops at the junction.

Emergency first responders from Magen David Adom (MDA) and United Hatzalah were dispatched to the scene to treat the wounded and evacuate them to local hospitals.

According to MDA CEO Eli Bin, of the 20 people wounded in the attack, six were listed in critical condition, at least seven others in serious condition, and the rest in light or moderate condition.

An MDA spokesman later said the six critically wounded victims had succumbed to their wounds.

“After conducting medical examinations, MDA medics and paramedics pronounced the deaths of four victims, including a man about 50 years old and three men about 30, and provided medical treatment to five seriously wounded people with gunshot wounds, who were evacuated to hospitals in Jerusalem. Several people with minor injuries from glass shards were also treated at the scene.”

Seven of the victims have been evacuated to Jerusalem’s Shaare Zedek Medical Center, including one in critical condition, four in serious condition, and two in moderate condition.

During the shooting attack, armed civilians and an off-duty IDF soldier returned fire, killing both of the terrorists.

Preliminary reports indicate that one of the civilians – a member of the ultra-Orthodox community – who helped kill the terrorists was himself wounded in the attack.

Police officers have cordoned off the area, with security forces deployed to the scene to conduct searches for additional terrorists who may have aided in the attack.

Four of the men murdered in Monday’s attack have been identified thus far, including Yaakov Pinto, a 25-year-old immigrant from Spain who was recently married; Yisrael Mantzer, 28, of Jerusalem; 43-year-old Yosef David, who was killed while traveling to a yeshiva; and Levy Yitzhak Fash, a resident of Tel Tzion.
