In a deeply emotional ceremony Sunday night, Rabbi Leo Dee, 53, married Aliza Teplitsky, 43, marking a poignant new chapter after the devastating loss of his wife and two daughters in a 2023 Hamas terror attack.

The wedding, held in the town of Efrat, was filled with both tears and joy.

Under the chuppah, Dee’s surviving daughters, Keren and Tali, spoke movingly about their late mother, Lucy, and voiced their full support for their father’s decision to remarry.

The ceremony was officiated by Rabbis Shlomo Kimchi and Yair Bienstock, with music led by Rabbi Shlomo Katz.

IDF Chief Cantor Shai Abramson also performed, dedicating a heartfelt song to the couple.

Since then, Dee has emerged as an international voice of faith and resilience, authoring three books on grief, healing, prayer, and Jewish thought following his earlier work, Transforming the World: The Jewish Impact on Modernity.

Lucy Dee’s heart was donated to Lital Valenci (51), a mother of two who suffered from severe heart failure for five years until receiving a heart transplant from Lucy in Beilinson Hospital llshotley after Lucy’s murder.

His new wife, Aliza Teplitsky, originally from Toronto, has long been active in Jewish community life. She served as director of Bnei Akiva programs in North America before immigrating to Israel in 2005.

She has worked on the Jerusalem light rail, curated exhibitions at the Israel Museum, and is now a manager at a Tel Aviv hi-tech company.

The couple will reside in Efrat with Dee’s three surviving children, beginning their life together with renewed hope rooted in faith and community.
