Israeli President Isaac Herzog paid a solemn visit to the grave of the seventh Lubavitcher Rebbe, Menachem Mendel Schneerson, in Queens, New York, praying for the swift release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.

He also prayed for the safety of Israeli security forces operating in Gaza, Lebanon, Judea, Samaria, and beyond, and for the recovery of those wounded in battle.

The presdient also left a meaningful note reading: ‘For the swift return of all the hostages, for the victory and safety of IDF soldiers and security forces wherever they may be. For the recovery of all those wounded in body and soul. For the return of the evacuees to their homes. Amen.’
