‘There is no need to deal with contractors, receive price quotes, or monitor work; the entire process is managed by the state.’

In a powerful demonstration of national unity and resilience, Israel’s Finance Ministry, Housing Ministry, and Tax Authority jointly announced the launch of “Renovations in Unity” on Tuesday. This ambitious initiative is designed to rebuild homes and provide compensation to Israeli citizens whose properties were destroyed by Iranian ballistic missile attacks.
Spearheaded by a collaborative team from the Finance and Housing Ministries, Tax Authority, and the Israel Builders Association, the program reflects Israel’s unwavering commitment to its citizens in the face of aggression. Each damaged apartment complex will be assigned a single contractor under close government supervision, ensuring efficiency, accountability, and quality.
“There is no need to deal with contractors, receive price quotes, or monitor work; the entire process is managed by the state, including financing, supervision, and execution,” the ministries announced, highlighting the streamlined approach.
Critically, the initiative is designed to remove red tape and prevent delays. Citizens will not be left alone to navigate the bureaucratic process. Those struggling to reach authorities or contractors will receive additional support directly from the state. Rather than focusing on individual apartments, the program will renovate entire privately owned complexes, restoring communities.
Local authorities are actively mapping impacted areas and will personally reach out to residents, helping them enroll in the government track. “There is no need to contact the Compensation Fund directly to join the track,” officials clarified.
The Compensation Fund will handle damage assessments and manage payments through designated companies overseeing reconstruction.
Shai Aharonovich, director of the Tax Authority, underscored the scale of the crisis: “We are currently facing an unprecedented challenge of responding to approximately 45,000 claims for direct damage, of which approximately 35,000 are claims for structural damage.”
This national effort demonstrates Israel’s solidarity and efficiency in protecting and rebuilding for its people under fire.
