NFL legend Tom Brady used one of the biggest moments of his post-football career to deliver a quiet but unmistakable political message.
At the unveiling of his 17-foot statue outside Gillette Stadium, the seven-time Super Bowl champion wore a blue “Stand Up to Jewish Hate” pin — a symbol of solidarity with the Jewish community amid rising antisemitism.
The ceremony took place just before the New England Patriots’ preseason kickoff against the Washington Commanders, drawing thousands of fans.
The towering bronze figure — 17 feet from base to raised fist — was revealed as Patriots owner Robert Kraft praised Brady’s legacy.

“Tommy, you have not only etched your name in NFL history — you’ve etched it in all of our hearts,” Kraft said.
The pin represents the Foundation to Combat Antisemitism (FCAS), an organization Kraft founded in 2019 to inspire Americans to actively oppose antisemitism and all forms of hate.
Brady’s public alignment with the cause is notable; he has long avoided overt political gestures, famously distancing himself from political commentary after his ties to President Donald Trump drew media attention in 2016.
This is not Brady’s first connection to the FCAS. Earlier this year, he appeared alongside Snoop Dogg in a Super Bowl ad promoting the organization’s message.
His stance on antisemitism has been clear, especially following the Hamas terror attacks of October 7, when he posted, “There should be no gray area about condemning Hamas’ terrorist attacks on Israeli citizens. No human deserves this.”
He added that his family would continue praying for all innocent victims in Israel and Gaza.

His family ties to the Jewish community include his sister’s marriage to former MLB player Kevin Youkilis and a close friendship with ex-Patriots star Julian Edelman.
By wearing the pin during a career-defining celebration, Brady signaled a rare and deliberate political statement — one that linked his personal values, public influence, and a high-profile platform to a clear stand against antisemitism.
