A map released by Startup Nation Central highlights how Israeli startups are addressing some of the world’s most significant energy challenges, including reducing carbon emissions, storing clean energy, and enhancing electricity efficiency.
Created in partnership with Ignite the Spark and the Israel Export Institute, the 2025 Energy Tech Landscape Map features 165 companies operating in various sectors, including solar and battery technologies, hydrogen, and smart grid technologies. Together, these companies raised over $400 million in the past year alone.
“The energy tech landscape is not only growing in size but in-depth and maturity,” said a spokesperson from Startup Nation Central.
The map is designed to help investors, governments, and companies worldwide connect with Israeli startups that offer real solutions to today’s energy challenges. Some of the top-funded companies include Augury, which uses AI to reduce waste in factories, Wi-Charge, which powers devices wirelessly using infrared light, and RepAir, a company removing carbon from the air with a fully electric system.
Nearly 35% of the companies are already public or have been acquired, showing the sector is no longer just about early-stage ideas. Still, growth continues, with 26 new startups launched since the beginning of 2024.
Startup Nation Central refers to this type of problem-solving as “Impatient Innovation.” The group operates a free platform, Finder, which provides anyone with access to real-time data and connections within Israel’s tech world.
“Our mission is to help global partners discover Israeli technologies that can solve the world’s hardest problems,” the organization said.
