Israel hosted more than 130 foreign military representatives last week for a multiday seminar highlighting operational lessons from the 2023–2025 Middle East war, the IDF reports.
Senior officers from 19 nations observed exercises, toured training facilities, and received briefings on the methods the IDF has developed during two years of fighting.
Participants came from a broad slate of countries, including the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, India, Greece, Cyprus, Japan, Morocco, and several European states.
Many had followed developments in Israel through media coverage; the IDF said the purpose of the gathering was to provide a closer look at combat practices through live demonstrations and direct briefings.
A large portion of the program took place at the National Land Training Center, where visitors watched a full-scale maneuver featuring tanks, infantry, helicopters, and drone units.
Officers moved between the range and command facilities as IDF personnel explained the structure and purpose of each drill.
Intelligence officers at the center walked the delegations through the shift from fighting in Gaza to preparing units for northern operations.
They described the distinctions between the two fronts and how training was adapted for differing terrain and threats.
The IDF said roughly 20 brigades trained at the center before deploying to Lebanon, most of them completing fresh exercises shortly after returning from Gaza.
Commanders also highlighted expanded use of drones, robotics, and combined-combat techniques.
Visitors were shown how the IDF integrates sensors, fire systems, and ground forces to identify targets and neutralize them. Underground-warfare tools and new “exposure-attack” methods were among the systems demonstrated.
After the field portion, delegations visited simulation centers and logistics hubs, where officers described the challenge of maintaining large forces during extended fighting.
The final day brought participants to the Gaza envelope and the Nova site, offering a firsthand account of the attack that began the war. IDF officers said the visit added a personal dimension to the discussions.
According to the IDF, the seminar is part of expanding cooperation with foreign militaries, with additional international exercises already being planned.
