Israel Aerospace Industries on Tuesday presented Israeli defense officials and senior political leaders with a newly developed integrated border defense system that the company says sharply shortens the time between threat detection and interception across land, air and sea.

According to Israel Aerospace Industries, the system was demonstrated through a series of live trials showing how intelligence collection, command and control, and strike assets can be fused into a single operational framework.

The company told Ynet the platform is intended for continuous use along Israel’s borders, in both routine security conditions and emergency scenarios.

IAI said the architecture connects a broad array of sensors and platforms—ranging from space-based capabilities to autonomous ground systems—into a unified operational picture.

Data from these assets is processed in real time by a central mission system that uses artificial intelligence to link intelligence collection with strike capabilities, allowing threats to be identified and neutralized with minimal delay.

Among the platforms showcased were an intelligence-gathering drone equipped with a compact synthetic aperture radar designed to operate in all weather and visibility conditions, as well as an armed vertical takeoff and landing drone built for persistent surveillance and rapid engagement.

The demonstrations also included a light border patrol aircraft developed jointly with US-based defense firm L3Harris.

IAI said additional trials featured electro-optical systems, radars, autonomous vehicles and unmanned aerial vehicles produced by the company, all operating simultaneously within the same networked system.

The company said the exercises simulated a range of threats and showed a significant reduction in response times due to direct connectivity between sensors and interceptors.

IAI said the demonstrations confirmed the system’s effectiveness against operational requirements and described the project as the first fully integrated, end-to-end solution presented by a defense company for national border defense.
