Un officier sup\u00e9rieur de la marine isra\u00e9lienne sera stationn\u00e9 en permanence \u00e0 Bahre\u00efn, selon les m\u00e9dias bahre\u00efnis. Ce sera la premi\u00e8re fois qu’un officier de Tsahal est stationn\u00e9 en permanence dans un pays arabe.<\/p>\n

L’officier servira de liaison entre Isra\u00ebl et la 5e flotte de la marine am\u00e9ricaine, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Bahre\u00efn.<\/p>\n

Selon les m\u00e9dias bahre\u00efnis, l’arrangement a \u00e9t\u00e9 conclu la semaine derni\u00e8re \u00e0 l’occasion de la rencontre entre le ministre isra\u00e9lien de la D\u00e9fense, Benny Gantz, le ministre bahre\u00efni de la D\u00e9fense, Abdulla bin Hasan Al Nuaimi, et le commandant de la 5e flotte am\u00e9ricaine, le vice-amiral Brad Cooper, lors d’une visite inopin\u00e9e \u00e0 Manama.<\/p>\n

Gantz a \u00e9galement sign\u00e9 un protocole d’accord avec le roi Hamad bin Isa al-Khalifa \u00e9tablissant un cadre pour la coop\u00e9ration isra\u00e9lo-bahre\u00efnite en mati\u00e8re de s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n

En janvier, quelques jours avant son d\u00e9part de la Maison Blanche, le Pr\u00e9sident Donald Trump avait transf\u00e9r\u00e9 Isra\u00ebl de la zone de responsabilit\u00e9 du Commandement europ\u00e9en des \u00c9tats-Unis (EUCOM) au Commandement central (CENTCOM). Cette d\u00e9cision visait \u00e0 rationaliser la coop\u00e9ration militaire am\u00e9ricano-isra\u00e9lienne et \u00e0 catalyser la collaboration isra\u00e9lienne et arabe contre l’Iran.<\/p>\n

Les plus grandes menaces d’Isra\u00ebl \u2013 l’Iran, les activit\u00e9s du Hezbollah en Syrie et au Liban, et les Houthis au Y\u00e9men \u2013 rel\u00e8vent de la responsabilit\u00e9 du CENTCOM.<\/p>\n

Cela a conduit \u00e0 un certain nombre d’exercices maritimes et d’exercices de l’arm\u00e9e de l’air impliquant les \u00c9tats-Unis, Isra\u00ebl, ses partenaires des accords d’Abraham et d’autres pays au cours des derniers mois.<\/p>\n

Les m\u00e9dias de Bahre\u00efn ont rapport\u00e9 que l’officier devait arriver dans les prochaines semaines.<\/p>\n
