El l\u00edder de la oposici\u00f3n israel\u00ed, Isaac Herzog, pidi\u00f3 a la UE a adoptar una postura m\u00e1s equilibrada con respecto a Israel y la Autoridad Palestina y expres\u00f3 su profunda preocupaci\u00f3n por las negociaciones nucleares de Occidente con Ir\u00e1n. \u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

El miembro de la Knesset Isaac Herzog, l\u00edder de la oposici\u00f3n, se reuni\u00f3 con el\u00a0Alto Representante para Asuntos Exteriores y Pol\u00edtica de Seguridad de la UE, Federica Mogherini el jueves y expres\u00f3 su decepci\u00f3n en las decisiones de Europa con respecto a Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abIsrael est\u00e1 decepcionado con algunos de los l\u00edderes de Europa, que se sit\u00faa casi autom\u00e1ticamente con los \u00e1rabes y echa la culpa por el estancamiento en las negociaciones diplom\u00e1ticas sobre Israel\u00bb, dijo Herzog.<\/p>\n

Herzog est\u00e1 \u00abconvencido de que una postura m\u00e1s equilibrada de su parte dar\u00eda lugar a que Israel\u00a0est\u00e9\u00a0m\u00e1s dispuesto a escuchar\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Apenas la semana pasada, Mogherini recibi\u00f3 una carta de un grupo de ex l\u00edderes pol\u00edticos europeos que piden una \u00abreevaluaci\u00f3n urgente\u00bb de la pol\u00edtica de la UE en las negociaciones diplom\u00e1ticas entre Israel y los palestinos.<\/p>\n

Herzog reiter\u00f3 el compromiso de Israel para lograr un acuerdo de paz con la Autoridad Palestina (AP), pero insisti\u00f3 en que no se alcanzar\u00eda a cualquier precio. Un acuerdo final, continu\u00f3, se lograr\u00eda \u00abs\u00f3lo a trav\u00e9s de negociaciones directas. La seguridad de Israel, ante todo …. Cualquier intento de lograr un acuerdo que no se base en este principio fracasar\u00e1,\u00a0y desestabilizar\u00e1 la regi\u00f3n\u00bb.<\/p>\n

En referencia a la amenaza de Hezbol\u00e1 a Israel, Herzog record\u00f3 que la resoluci\u00f3n 1701 de la ONU, para resolver el conflicto entre Israel y el L\u00edbano de 2006, fue un fracaso y \u00abno vale nada\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abA trav\u00e9s de la mediaci\u00f3n internacional, hay 100.000 cohetes dirigidos a Israel<\/a> , que se supone que han sido detenidos por ustedes [los europeos]. A trav\u00e9s del patrocinio de Ir\u00e1n, Gaza est\u00e1 rehabilitando sus cohetes y t\u00faneles<\/a>, y no la infraestructura civil<\/a>\u00ab.<\/p>\n

En cuanto a las negociaciones entre las potencias mundiales e Ir\u00e1n sobre su programa nuclear, dijo Herzog a Mogherini que Israel est\u00e1 profundamente preocupado por el resultado y expres\u00f3 su esperanza de que las naciones que negocian \u00abtengan \u00e9xito en lograr\u00a0un acuerdo que elimine una amenaza intolerable para Israel<\/a>, Oriente Medio y el mundo entero\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Mogherini respondi\u00f3 que la UE era muy consciente del hecho de que la paz y la seguridad son inseparables.<\/p>\n
