Illinois ha tomado acciones concretas contra los activistas de BDS que tratan de deslegitimar al Estado de Israel. El proyecto de ley proh\u00edbe a los participantes del BDS proveerse de los fondos estatales.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

La C\u00e1mara de Representantes del Estado de Illinois aprob\u00f3 por unanimidad una <\/span>ley<\/span><\/a> que proh\u00edbe que\u00a0los fondos de pensiones estatales de se incluyan en\u00a0carteras de empresas que participan en el Boicot, Desinversi\u00f3n y Sanciones (BDS) contra Israel. El\u00a0<\/span>Gobernador de Illinois Bruce Rauner dijo en Twitter que va a firmar el proyecto de ley.<\/p>\n

Las legislaturas estatales en Indiana y Tennessee el mes pasado aprobaron resoluciones que condenan al BDS, pero esas medidas no eran vinculantes, en oposici\u00f3n a la acci\u00f3n econ\u00f3mica espec\u00edfica del proyecto de ley de Illinois.<\/p>\n

\u00abIllinois es el primer estado en tomar acciones concretas y jur\u00eddicamente vinculante contra la campa\u00f1a de Boicot, Desinversi\u00f3n y Sanciones, proporcionando un modelo legislativo para el resto del pa\u00eds\u00bb, dijo Jacob Baime, director ejecutivo de la Coalici\u00f3n de Israel en el Campus<\/p>\n
