Los cancilleres de la Uni\u00f3n Europea (UE) firmaron una carta pidiendo a la jefa de pol\u00edtica exterior de la UE para etiquetar los productos israel\u00edes hechos m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la l\u00ednea de armisticio de 1949 como \u00abHecho en Cisjordania.\u00bb<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

En la carta a la Jefa de la Pol\u00edtica Exterior de la UE, Federica Mogherini, 16 ministros de Exteriores de la UE dijeron que la propuesta ayudar\u00eda a los consumidores a no\u00a0ser \u00abenga\u00f1ados\u00bb.<\/p>\n

\u00abLos consumidores europeos deben ciertamente tener confianza de saber el origen de los productos que est\u00e1n comprando\u00bb, escribieron los ministros. \u00abIsrael y los productores palestinos se beneficiar\u00e1n de esto.\u00bb<\/p>\n

La iniciativa fue encabezada por el ministro de Asuntos Exteriores belga, Didier Reynders, y fue apoyado por los ministros del Reino Unido, Francia, Espa\u00f1a, Dinamarca, Irlanda, Croacia, Malta, Pa\u00edses Bajos, Suecia, Portugal, Eslovenia, Italia, Luxemburgo, Finlandia y Austria.<\/p>\n

Los Ministros de la UE de Alemania, Polonia, Rep\u00fablica Checa, Bulgaria, Grecia, Hungr\u00eda, Chipre, Rumania no firmaron la carta.<\/p>\n

La carta cita a una anterior que aboga la misma medida de etiquetado que se envi\u00f3 a la predecesora de Mogherini, Catherine Ashton, en 2013. En ese momento, el secretario de Estado estadounidense, John Kerry inst\u00f3 a Ashton que paralizara\u00a0la iniciativa en espera y poder dedicarse a las conversaciones de paz entre israel\u00edes y palestinos.<\/p>\n
