Thierry Vincon, el alcalde de la localidad francesa central de Saint-Amand-Montrond, estar\u00e1 al frente de la delegaci\u00f3n de Israel.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Una delegaci\u00f3n de 20 alcaldes franceses visitar\u00e1n Israel esta\u00a0semana para conmemorar Iom HaShoah (D\u00eda del Recuerdo del Holocausto). Los alcaldes vienen de las ciudades que han conmemorado los residentes que han sido designados como Justos entre las Naciones, un honor otorgado por el Estado de Israel a los no-jud\u00edos que arriesgaron sus vidas para salvar a jud\u00edos\u00a0durante el Holocausto.<\/p>\n

La delegaci\u00f3n fue organizada por el Comit\u00e9 Franc\u00e9s Yad Vashem y la Fundaci\u00f3n Francia-Israel. En su visita al Estado jud\u00edo, los alcaldes ser\u00e1n bienvenidos y recibidos por el alcalde de Tel Aviv, Ron Huldai, y se reunir\u00e1n con los descendientes de los supervivientes del Holocausto y Justos entre las Naciones. Tambi\u00e9n ser\u00e1n capaces de verse\u00a0con los m\u00e1s destacados empresarios israel\u00edes, entre ellos en el sector de alta tecnolog\u00eda, que est\u00e1n interesadas en hacer negocios en Francia.<\/p>\n

\u00abHace unos a\u00f1os, un amigo jud\u00edo me mostr\u00f3 una foto de una mujer joven con un ni\u00f1o. Ella era un sobreviviente del Holocausto, un ex residente de mi propia ciudad. No sab\u00edamos su historia y as\u00ed empezamos a recabar informaci\u00f3n. Se estableci\u00f3 contacto con el Comit\u00e9 de Yad Vashem franc\u00e9s y comenzamos a trabajar juntos\u00bb, dijo el alcalde de la localidad francesa central de Saint-Amand-Montrond, Thierry Vin\u00e7on, quien estar\u00e1 al frente de la delegaci\u00f3n, inform\u00f3 el Jerusalem Post.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan Jean-Pierre Gauzi, secretario general del comit\u00e9 de Yad Vashem Franc\u00e9s, 191 comunidades francesas han creado memoriales para los residentes que han sido nombrados Justos entre las Naciones.<\/p>\n
