Hashem les env\u00eda la pareja que podr\u00eda ser su mejor compa\u00f1ero-a en la vida, pero ellos quieren algo diferente: alguien con m\u00e1s dinero, con m\u00e1s pedigr\u00ed, con m\u00e1s atractivo\u2026<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Mendel ya no lo soportaba m\u00e1s. Mirando en derredor, se puso a pensar: \u00bfPor qu\u00e9 la vida le resultaba tan dif\u00edcil? Todos sus vecinos parec\u00edan tener \u00e9xito en sus respectivos oficios y a \u00e9l siempre le faltaba dinero. Mendel ten\u00eda tres hijas que ya estaban en edad de casarse y apenas si le alcanzaba para comprar pan. \u00bfDe d\u00f3nde iba a conseguir el dinero para la dote? \u00bfAcaso sus hijas iban a terminar marchit\u00e1ndose en casa? Mendel suspir\u00f3, frustrado. Y entonces se acord\u00f3\u2026 del Rebe! El Rebe, el gran tzadik, el disc\u00edpulo del santo Noam Elimelej. \u00c9l seguramente lo ayudar\u00eda.<\/p>\n

El Rebe escuch\u00f3 el lamento de Mendel y cerr\u00f3 los ojos concentr\u00e1ndose profundamente. Un minuto m\u00e1s tarde, los abri\u00f3: \u201cMendel, ve al marcado de Vinitza ma\u00f1ana y cuando regreses, vuelve aqu\u00ed y dime qu\u00e9 encontraste\u201d.<\/p>\n

Esa noche, Mendel estaba tan entusiasmado que apenas si logr\u00f3 dormirse. Dos horas antes del alba, Mendel parti\u00f3 a pie emprendi\u00f3 el trayecto de 7 km rumbo a Vinnitza. Primero rez\u00f3 en la sinagoga junto a los dem\u00e1s mercaderes y luego se dirigi\u00f3 al mercado. Decepcionado, retorn\u00f3 a su pueblo esa misma noche, sentado en la parte trasera de un furg\u00f3n de forraje. No hab\u00eda encontrado soluci\u00f3n a su problema ni tampoco hab\u00eda visto nada extraordinario.<\/p>\n

Antes de ir a casa, se detuvo en el estudio del Rebe. El asistente lo hizo pasar y entonces el Rebe alz\u00f3 la vista de su tomo del Talmud y le pregunt\u00f3: \u201cNu, Mendel, \u00bfqu\u00e9 encontraste en el mercado?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cNada, Rebe; nadie me ofreci\u00f3 man\u00e1 del cielo ni tampoco vi nada fuera de lo com\u00fan\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201c\u00bfEst\u00e1s seguro, Mendel? Pi\u00e9nsalo de nuevo. Presta atenci\u00f3n a los peque\u00f1os detalles\u2026\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cOh s\u00ed\u2026 hubo algo que s\u00ed me llam\u00f3 la atenci\u00f3n, Rebe: cuando los mercaderes de ganado fueron todos a la plaza a comerciar, ataron los caballos a los faroles de metal de la calle principal del mercado. Los caballos ten\u00edan frenos de acero en la boca y los cabestros estaban tan fuertemente atados que no se pod\u00edan mover; los comerciantes dejaron las bolsas con forraje para cada caballo y se fueron a negociar los unos con los otros.<\/p>\n

\u201cY entonces \u00bfqu\u00e9 pas\u00f3, Mendel?\u201d, pregunt\u00f3 el Rebe.<\/p>\n

\u201cLos fruteros y los verduleros iban cabalgando en sus carretas pro la calle, llevando suculentas manzanas rojas y zanahorias naranjas. Los\u00a0caballos que estaban atados a los faroles se volvieron locos. \u00a1Quer\u00edan comerse las manzanas y las zanahorias! Los caballos trataron de zafarse de sus ataduras pero solamente se lastimaron en el intento. Al final, se dieron por vencidos y se pusieron a comer el forraje…\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cMendel, \u00bfacaso no te das cuenta del mensaje que te estaba enviando Hashem?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAhora s\u00ed, ahora s\u00ed lo entiendo, gracias a Ud. Rebe. Hashem quiere que coma el forraje sin quejarme, sin tener envidia de mis vecinos que tienen m\u00e1s \u00e9xito que yo\u201d.<\/p>\n

Nada cambi\u00f3 en la vida de Mendel, excepto que ahora empez\u00f3 a ser feliz con lo que le hab\u00eda tocado en la vida.<\/p>\n

El Talmud dice que encontrar el alma gemela y ganarse el sustento es m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil que dividir el Mar Rojo.<\/p>\n

Pero sabemos que Hashem es Todopoderoso. Entonces \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 decimos que algo Le resulta dif\u00edcil? \u00bfQu\u00e9 es lo que est\u00e1 queriendo decir el Talmud?<\/p>\n

Hashem cuenta con todos los medios para enviarnos tanto el sustento como la pareja a cada uno de nosotros. Sin embargo, son muy pocos los que est\u00e1n satisfechos con lo que Hashem les da. \u00a1Siempre quieren m\u00e1s! En vez de las necesidades b\u00e1sicas que \u00c9l les provee, ellos quieren coches \u00faltimo modelo y restaurantes franceses. Hashem les env\u00eda la pareja que podr\u00eda ser su mejor compa\u00f1ero-a en la vida, pero ellos quieren algo diferente: alguien con m\u00e1s dinero, con m\u00e1s pedigr\u00ed, con m\u00e1s atractivo\u2026 Igual que los caballos frustrados, ellos se rompen la nuca tratando de obtener las manzanas y las zanahorias, que por supuesto nunca llegan a alcanzar\u2026 Qu\u00e9 l\u00e1stima que no se contentan con lo que tienen, porque entonces podr\u00edan vivir tranquilos y felices\u2026<\/p>\n

Si no me equivoco, lo que quiere decir el Talmud es que Hashem no tiene ninguna dificultad para enviarnos lo que sea. El problema es que nosotros, los seres humanos, no nos damos cuenta de que Hashem est\u00e1 haciendo lo mejor para nosotros; no tenemos la suficiente emun\u00e1 para ser absolutamente felices con lo que nos dieron\u2026<\/p>\n

Hashem sac\u00f3 al pueblo jud\u00edo de Egipto con la intenci\u00f3n de llevarlos r\u00e1pidamente a la Tierra de Israel. Pero en vez de aceptar la forma en que Hashem hac\u00eda las cosas, cada uno ten\u00eda su propia opini\u00f3n. Algunos quer\u00edan retornar a Egipto, como los izquierdistas de hoy en d\u00eda, que se rinden ante los egipcios\u00a0 en vez de someterse a Hashem. Otros, como los derechistas de hoy en d\u00eda, quer\u00edan luchar. Najshon ben Aminadav comprendi\u00f3 que Hashem no quer\u00eda ni lo uno ni lo otro. Y por eso salt\u00f3 dentro del agua y entonces Hashem parti\u00f3 el mar. Vemos entonces otra vez m\u00e1s que la dificultad que tuvo Hashem para partir el mar es la misma que tiene hoy para que cada uno de nosotros nos demos cuenta de que \u00c9l est\u00e1 haciendo lo mejor para nosotros.<\/p>\n
