El gran historiador israel\u00ed, Yehuda Avner, falleci\u00f3 el martes por lo que Israel pierde\u00a0a uno de sus mejores y m\u00e1s dedicados servidores p\u00fablicos.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Yehuda Avner (nacido Yehuda Haffner), que sirvi\u00f3 varios primeros ministros israel\u00edes y se hizo famoso por su aclamado libro, Los\u00a0Primeros Ministros<\/em> , un best-seller, que relata sus experiencias fascinantes, muri\u00f3 de c\u00e1ncer en su casa en Jerusalem el martes a la edad de 86.<\/p>\n

El libro, escrito en 2010, se hizo en un documental en 2013.<\/p>\n

Nacido en Manchester, Inglaterra, Avner emigr\u00f3 a Israel en 1947, un a\u00f1o antes de la creaci\u00f3n del moderno Estado de Israel. Luch\u00f3 en la Guerra de la Independencia de Israel y se uni\u00f3 al Servicio Exterior en 1958.<\/p>\n

Fue uno de los fundadores del Kibbutz Lavi. Adem\u00e1s Avner se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como asesor y secretario de Menachem Begin, Yitzhak Rabin y Shimon Peres, y trabaj\u00f3 como redactor de discursos de Golda Meir y Levi Eshkol.<\/p>\n

Avner sirvi\u00f3\u00a0en cargos diplom\u00e1ticos en el Consulado israel\u00ed en la ciudad de Nueva York y la Embajada de Israel en Washington, DC. En 1983, fue nombrado embajador en Gran Breta\u00f1a y Embajador no residente ante la Rep\u00fablica de Irlanda. Luego se desempe\u00f1\u00f3 como embajador en Australia.<\/p>\n
