\u00a0Itongadol.- La mujer emiti\u00f3 su sufragio en uno de los centros de votaci\u00f3n de Jerusal\u00e9n. Nacida en Hungr\u00eda, vive en Israel desde el 49, despu\u00e9s de su paso por el m\u00e1s mort\u00edfero de los campos de concentraci\u00f3n nazis.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

La mujer, de 101 a\u00f1os, lleg\u00f3 a emitir su voto en las elecciones que definir\u00e1n el futuro del pa\u00eds acompa\u00f1ada de su hijo Shmuel, quien cont\u00f3 a Infobae lo importante que era para su madre participar en estos comicios.<\/p>\n

Nacida en Hungr\u00eda, Rachel y su familia fueron enviados a Auschwitz, el m\u00e1s terrible campo de concentraci\u00f3n y s\u00edmbolo del exterminio nazi durante la Segunda Guerra Mundial, ubicado en los actuales territorios de Polonia.<\/p>\n

Finalizada la guerra, Rachel se enter\u00f3 del reconocimiento del Estado de Israel por parte de Naciones Unidas (ONU) en 1949 y ese mismo a\u00f1o decidi\u00f3 que \u00e9se ser\u00eda su hogar hasta el resto de sus d\u00edas.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan relata su hijo, participar en las elecciones a pesar de su estado de salud y de no tener la obligaci\u00f3n de hacerlo era para Rachel una muestra de gratitud y una responsabilidad para con la democracia en Israel.<\/p>\n

El pa\u00eds celebr\u00f3 hoy sus comicios para decidir qu\u00e9 partido ser\u00e1 el encargado de nombrar al pr\u00f3ximo primer ministro y gobernar durante el per\u00edodo que viene.<\/p>\n
