La Autoridad Palestina cancel\u00f3 un contrato muy lucrativo con Israel, frustrando la oportunidad de poner fin a la dependencia energ\u00e9tica en el Estado jud\u00edo.\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Los palestinos cancelaron un acuerdo para la compra de gas natural a\u00a0Israel. El gas fue designado para el uso de la Compa\u00f1\u00eda Palestina Power Generation (PPGC) y la nueva planta el\u00e9ctrica palestino en Jenin.<\/p>\n

El acuerdo, que se estima en 1.2 mil millones de d\u00f3lares en el transcurso de 20 a\u00f1os, fue significativo debido a las ramificaciones geopol\u00edticas de un acuerdo de este tipo con la Autoridad Palestina (AP). Sin embargo, en comparaci\u00f3n con los grandes acuerdos firmados con Egipto (dos ofertas por un total de 50 billones) y Jordania<\/a> (20 billones), la p\u00e9rdida financiera es insignificante.<\/p>\n

Israel tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda la esperanza de avanzar en el proyecto de energ\u00eda palestina y para desconectarlos finalmente de la red israel\u00ed, una conexi\u00f3n que ha generado dificultades y t\u00e9cnicas para la Compa\u00f1\u00eda El\u00e9ctrica de Israel (IEC).<\/p>\n

En ese momento, el contrato fue la primera exportaci\u00f3n de gas a Israel, con la ventaja a\u00f1adida de una tuber\u00eda corta a trav\u00e9s del Valle Sharon de Israel a la Autoridad Palestina.<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan los socios del Leviat\u00e1n, la raz\u00f3n por la que el acuerdo no se concret\u00f3 fue \u00abel incumplimiento de las condiciones previas establecidas en el acuerdo, esencialmente la negaci\u00f3n de una aprobaci\u00f3n de la Autoridad Antimonopolio, y un fallo en la recepci\u00f3n las aprobaciones regulatorias requeridas por la ley \u00ab.<\/p>\n

No se espera que la cancelaci\u00f3n del contrato con la Autoridad Palestina afecte a los acuerdos con Egipto y Jordania.<\/p>\n
