El primer ministro israel\u00ed, Benjamin Netanyahu, expres\u00f3 en una reuni\u00f3n previa a la Navidad en Nazaret que los cristianos y los jud\u00edos son hermanos, y que Israel nunca dejar\u00e1 de defender a los cristianos contra las fuerzas que tratan de da\u00f1arlos y destruirlos.<\/p>\n

El encuentro fue organizado por el Foro Israel\u00ed de Reclutamiento cristiano, cuyo l\u00edder espiritual, el Padre Gabriel Naddaf, fue se\u00f1alado en varias ocasiones por Netanyahu por sus incansables esfuerzos para alentar a los j\u00f3venes cristianos a unirse al ej\u00e9rcito israel\u00ed e integrarse plenamente con la sociedad israel\u00ed.<\/p>\n

\u00abEl primero de diciembre, llev\u00e9 a mi propio hijo, Avner, al centro de reclutamiento en Jerusalem. Se ofreci\u00f3 como voluntario para convertirse en un soldado de combate en las Fuerzas de Defensa de Israel. Al d\u00eda siguiente… el Padre Naddaf llev\u00f3 a su hijo, Jubran, como voluntario\u00bb, cont\u00f3 Netanyahu.<\/p>\n

Netanyahu se\u00f1al\u00f3 que no siempre fue f\u00e1cil para los cristianos de habla \u00e1rabe unirse de manera plena a Israel, pero prometi\u00f3 que apoyarlos \u201ccontra todo lo que habr\u00eda acosarlos\u00bb.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, destac\u00f3 que Israel es el \u00fanico lugar en la regi\u00f3n en el que los cristianos encuentran refugio seguro.<\/p>\n
