La nueva jefe en materia de exteriores de\u00a0la UE, Federica Mogherini declar\u00f3 que su objetivo es\u00a0el establecimiento de un Estado palestino a finales de su mandato de cinco a\u00f1os. Ella visitar\u00e1 Israel y los territorios palestinos este fin de semana.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Frederica Mogherini, el Alto Representante de la Uni\u00f3n para Asuntos Exteriores y Pol\u00edtica de Seguridad, sustituy\u00f3 a Catherine Ashton, desde el 1 de noviembre. En una de sus primeras intervenciones p\u00fablicas, le dijo a la prensa europea el lunes que la creaci\u00f3n de un Estado palestino dentro de cinco a\u00f1os es uno de sus principales objetivos.<\/p>\n

El mes pasado, Suecia<\/a> emiti\u00f3 una declaraci\u00f3n reconociendo \u00abPalestina\u00bb como un Estado.<\/p>\n

\u00abLo importante para m\u00ed\u00bb, dijo Mogherini, \u00abno es si otros estados, europeos o no, reconocen a Palestina. Lo que\u00a0me har\u00eda feliz es la existencia de un Estado palestino durante mi mandato\u00bb.<\/p>\n

En declaraciones a los periodistas de cinco peri\u00f3dicos europeos, Mogherini explic\u00f3:<\/p>\n

Es por eso que mi primera visita ser\u00e1 a Israel y Palestina a finales de esta semana. La acci\u00f3n europea puede ser decisiva<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> durante este momento tan importante, probablemente el m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil de la regi\u00f3n se ha visto en su vida\u00bb.<\/p>\n

El diplom\u00e1tico de la UE a\u00f1adi\u00f3 que ella ve la participaci\u00f3n del mundo \u00e1rabe como esencial para las negociaciones, as\u00ed como una posici\u00f3n unificada adoptada por los 28 miembros de la UE.<\/p>\n
