El presidente israel\u00ed, Reuven Rivlin public\u00f3 su mensaje personal con motivo de Rosh Hashan\u00e1 5775 – el A\u00f1o Nuevo jud\u00edo.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Hermanos y hermanas,<\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan la tradici\u00f3n jud\u00eda, Rosh Hashan\u00e1<\/a> representa un tiempo para la b\u00fasqueda personal y colectiva del alma nacional. A la sombra de los acontecimientos de los \u00faltimos meses, este a\u00f1o, aqu\u00ed en Israel, los dos d\u00edas de Rosh Hashana ser\u00e1n de reflexi\u00f3n y adquieren por ello, un significado especial.<\/p>\n

Con el secuestro y asesinato<\/a> de los cuatro adolescentes: Naftali, Gilad, Eyal y Mohammed; y la campa\u00f1a en el sur de Israel, en el fondo, los ciudadanos de Israel y sus l\u00edderes se enfrentan a dif\u00edciles dilemas: la responsabilidad de defender nuestros hogares y tierras, junto con la preocupaci\u00f3n al no querer\u00a0da\u00f1ar a personas inocentes. Israel tuvo que responder a las amenazas de organizaciones terroristas desde Gaza, mientras que nos esforzamos por el mantenimiento de nuestra\u00a0imagen en el exterior manteniendo\u00a0los valores como un estado jud\u00edo y democr\u00e1tico que est\u00e1 comprometido con el derecho internacional y que se dedica a proteger\u00a0a todos sus ciudadanos con igualdad y dignidad, \u00e1rabes y jud\u00edos por igual.<\/p>\n

La capacidad de resistencia de Israel no se basa en su fuerza militar, sino que\u00a0emana de los valores liberales, democr\u00e1ticos y jud\u00edos sobre los cuales fue fundado el pa\u00eds. Incluso en momentos en los que se requiere que\u00a0Israel movilice a su frente militar, no se puede ignorar su frente interno y la oleada de manifestaciones pol\u00edticas violentas. El liderazgo de Israel y la sociedad israel\u00ed son juzgados no s\u00f3lo por su capacidad de recuperaci\u00f3n militar, sino tambi\u00e9n por su resistencia civil y no s\u00f3lo en tiempos normales, sino tambi\u00e9n en tiempos de crisis.<\/p>\n

En el curso de la operaci\u00f3n Margen Protector, sent\u00ed que Israel no estaba solo. Los l\u00edderes del mundo libre y muchos de los miembros de los diversos movimientos y comunidades jud\u00edas estuvieron hombro con hombro con Israel.<\/p>\n

En el umbral del nuevo a\u00f1o, quiero agradeceros a ustedes, l\u00edderes y miembros de las comunidades jud\u00edas, por su apoyo a los soldados de Israel y a su frente interno, especialmente en las comunidades del sur. Espero que sigamos\u00a0juntos frente a los desaf\u00edos que esperan al pueblo jud\u00edo en Israel y en la Di\u00e1spora en el futuro, generados por un sentido de responsabilidad mutua y la cooperaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n

El pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o est\u00e1 marcado por la tradici\u00f3n jud\u00eda de la\u00a0shmita<\/em><\/a>, un a\u00f1o sab\u00e1tico para la tierra y el hombre. La observancia de la shmita<\/em> sirve para frenar la carrera econ\u00f3mica\u00a0de la Tierra de Israel.<\/p>\n

Rezo para que este a\u00f1o las puertas de nuestros corazones se abran para dejar entrar la compasi\u00f3n, la generosidad y la responsabilidad mutua. Que el pr\u00f3ximo a\u00f1o traiga el sonido de la alegr\u00eda, una sinfon\u00eda de voces jud\u00edas diversas que nos unir\u00e1n como una familia, entre las comunidad y las personas.<\/p>\n
